Another NFL season is over, and one of the more memorable things to come of it was a new track produced by E.S. Posthumus.

In an unexpected move, the showcased track was a mashup of Run This Town by Jay-Z and Rihanna, and ESP’s signature NFL melody Posthumus Zone. Unfortunately, the second mashup that the Vonlichtens had worked on, We Will Rock You/Posthumus Zone (as hinted at in an earlier post), could not be cleared in time for broadcast.

The version of the song that was broadcast was accompanied by a two-and-a-half minute video. Directed by Derek Ambrosi (who led the production of the 2007-08 AFC Championship “Unstoppable” performance), it featured 75 members of the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra as well Jay-Z and the Vonlichtens.

There is no information in regards to commercial availability of either the Run This Town/Posthumus Zone or We Will Rock You/Posthumus Zone mixes, but considering its positive reception, it should only be a matter of time!
