To clarify on details from the previous announcement, information from the Official International Queen Fan Club indicates that the Vonlichtens are actually producing a new version of the Queen song We Will Rock You for the upcoming Super Bowl.

There are also a few quick words from guitarist Brian May.

“I just played some new guitar on a new ‘mashup’ version of WWRY which these guys have been producing for the Superbowl. It features us, including Freddie’s original vocal, an exploding super-giant orchestra, and some great ideas.”

It is great that they are honouring the original version and including Freddie Mercury’s vocals.

“I kid you not – seriously – these Posthumus guys are brilliant. I poured my heart out on guitar … and the files have now gone back to Franz and Helmut …. I can’t wait to hear their final mix.”

You can’t go wrong with the trademark Posthumus sound. No details as of yet in regards to a public release.
