The Definition of Ruling

I can’t believe I overlooked this one. There is an awesome interview with E.S. Posthumus on the Original Sound Version website. A couple snippets from the interview are below, but obviously it is best to read the entire article.

The following quote is probably the most intriguing of all.

It’s no longer called Deciphered [Laughs]…
E.S. Posthumus

I have always resisted from using the title Deciphered within any of the past articles (except for a wacky heading or two) as I had a hunch that at least something would change, besides the original release time frame of course. Now the question remains, what will it be called?

We’ll probably do a vinyl run on this one too, so bust out your turntable.
E.S. Posthumus

I remember having a discussion with my brother a few years back about how ESP should do a vinyl release. Hopefully that plan goes to fruition (or at the least, a limited run).

Also, just like the Paradigm Journal interview, the brothers talk about some of the creative processes and tools used to make and refine their musical creations. We finally find out from here that they use applications like Protools and Sibelius, which are some of the staples in the music industy for composition, arranging and editing. Despite being underground, the Vonlichtens are pretty hardcore.

With every interview, the readers get to find out more and more about the brotherly fusion that is ESP. Let us hope that they frequent more often once album three has been released.
