Fellow readers and sport fans from the United States may be aware of a specialty sports channel that launched early this year known as the MLB Network.

The objective of the channel is to provide comprehensive coverage of Major League Baseball and other select baseball games at an unprecedented scale. The people behind the network wanted to make sure they are delivering accurate details behind the sport, so much so that a replica baseball field was constructed inside a facility named Studio 42. The playing field allows reporters and players to demonstrate tactics and experiences that may be encountered during a game of baseball.

A signature show that forms part of the daily network schedule is MLB Tonight, a round-up program. The theme for the show is composed by E.S. Posthumus and is titled the MLB Tonight Theme. This marks the first time in a while that a theme by ESP has been created for a program outside the CBS Network.
