Towards the turn of the twenty-first century, two brothers, Helmut and Franz Vonlichten, made their entry into the world of independent music by forming E.S. Posthumus; a musical artist/project that fuses elements of symphonic and electronic sounds to create what I call Orchestral Electronica. Based on the songs that have been released, there is no doubt that one of their intentions is to compose music that differs to what Franz once stated as “Top 40 radio fodder.”
While the popularity of E.S. Posthumus has steadily become more prevalent since inception, the talent of the Vonlichtens is still somewhat under-appreciated. They are composers of huge potential.
“Helmut attended and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in Archaeology. Franz set his sights on recording studios and honed his skills in engineering and producing.”E.S. Posthumus, 2000
Now, what is most likely to be the first ‘actual’ unofficial website dedicated to the artist, arrives Experimental Sounds. This website will basically serve as a news and information repository, or in other words, an info-site. Hopefully in the near future as more details are added, their history throughout the past decade will become more clear. Although the content may be a bit sparse right now, a number of sections will be added once I have compiled a suitable amount of content.
Welcome to the launch of Experimental Sounds.
